Kathleen Yancey has been a member of the Park Avenue clinical staff since September of 2021. After two clinical rotations with Jenifer Lee and Dr Schmieder, Kathleen knew a career in dermatology was the best choice for her. Kathleen fell in love with Park Avenue’s patients and was fascinated with the variety of conditions she encountered on a day-to-day basis.

Evaluation of skin comes naturally to Kathleen. Kathleen is an alumna of the University of Florida graduating with a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. As a Registered Dietitian, her first training in physical exam involved evaluation of the skin, as many patients with nutritional issues have dermatological signs. She had a rewarding career as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at St Catherine Labore Manor in Riverside before deciding to pursue becoming a Physician Assistant. She was accepted to Nova Southeastern University and graduated in 2021 with honors.

Her training in nutrition gives her a unique perspective and skill set that benefits her patients and colleagues alike. Kathleen is a dedicated, lifelong learner who always strives to provide the most competent and compassionate care for her patients. She is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and the Commission for Dietetic Registration.

Kathleen originally hails from Maryland but has spent most of her life in Orange Park. When she isn’t with her patients, she loves spending time with her husband and two daughters.  Kathleen loves cooking, traveling the globe, running, and kayaking.
