Maheera Farsi, DO, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. Dr. Farsi takes pride in taking great care of her patients; her mission is to provide the most optimal medical care to patients from different backgrounds, lifestyles, and all walks of life. She grew up in South GA where she graduated as Valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Mathematics. She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, where she was a Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society Member and served as Class Treasurer. Dr. Farsi completed her internship and dermatology residency at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine GME: Largo Medical Center where she served as chief resident at her dermatology residency program. During her residency, she was nominated for the “Resident of the Year” award, was the winner of the “Spirit of Julian Ngo” award, and won several regional and national dermatopathology competitions throughout her training. After completing residency, she was appointed Assistant Program Director of the Dermatology Residency program during which time she was awarded “Lecturer of the Year”. Dr. Farsi went on to complete her Micrographic and Dermatologic Oncologic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL.

She is very active in education and enjoys mentoring medical students and dermatology residents. She is well-published in medical and surgical dermatology, including several textbooks. She is the oral narrator for the surgical dermatology chapter for the Derm In-Review Study Guide, and she has presented her work at several local, regional, and international conferences.  She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American College of Mohs Surgeons (ACMS), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), Women’s Dermatology Society (WDS), and American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD). In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, eating good food, listening to people’s life stories, and spending time with friends and family.
