Ivette M. Sosa Seda MD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Sosa Seda received her undergraduate degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Bachelor of Science with Honors. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.
Dr. Sosa Seda completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Puerto Rico. She also completed a specialty in Advanced Clinical Dermatology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.
Following her training, Dr. Sosa Seda became an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic where she trained and supervised residents and physician assistants. Dr. Sosa’s experience in academic dermatology includes time spent at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and Mayo Clinic Health System. As a result of her clinical and research interests, she has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Sosa Seda has over 10 years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic procedures. She offers expertise and experience in complex medical dermatology including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, cutaneous drug reactions, autoimmune conditions associated to connective tissue disease, acne, rosacea, hidradenitis suppurativa and alopecia. She also offers comprehensive skin cancer screenings for patients with atypical nevi, family history of melanoma, history of previous skin cancer and high-risk patients under immunosuppression, among others.
For the past five years, Dr. Sosa Seda has provided dermatologic care in Jacksonville and St. Augustine. She strives to provide our patients a welcoming, compassionate, and professional environment in which they can benefit from excellent care from the simplest to complex dermatologic conditions. She aims to treat patients of all ages with individualized care, listening to their needs and empowering each patient to play an integral part in their own treatment plan. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
